Electrical Technician (Underground)
St Ives Gold Mine
Residential (Kalgoorlie/ Kambalda) or FIFO
Reporting to the Leading Hand Electrical, you will be responsible for delivering preventative and breakdown maintenance across surface and underground fixed plant infrastructure, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operations.
This role is offered on an 8/6 7/7 days and nights roster, either residential or FIFO from Perth. For residential employees, daily bus transport to and from site is provided, along with relocation assistance if required.
Up to six months’ free, company-provided accommodation may be available for eligible candidates from under-represented groups (for example, women in mining and Indigenous Australians) relocating to Kambalda for permanent roles. Accommodation includes basic furnishings and utilities and is subject to availability and housing policy, with support available to assist with transitioning to a lease after the initial six-month period. Eligibility and final terms will be discussed during the recruitment process

About the role:
Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment
Fault-find and repair electrical and instrumentation systems (HV & LV)
Carry out inspections, servicing, adjustments and troubleshooting
Commissioning and decommissioning of equipment and machinery
Conduct HV switching activities
Maintain compliance with safety, environmental and site procedures
Complete all administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties
Support and mentor apprentices
Requirements:
Australian recognised Electrical Trade Qualification
Valid A Grade Electrical Licence
Experience with fixed plant and/or processing environments
Instrumentation and PLC experience (Allen Bradley highly regarded)
Current C Class driver’s licence
Current First Aid Certificate
HV Switching Certificate (desirable)
Working at heights and EWP tickets
Additional tickets (crane, dogging, forklift) highly regarded
