This is an opportunity for an experienced recruiter who wants to be more than a process facilitator. You'll become a trusted recruitment partner to our Nursing Managers and operational leaders — understanding their workforce needs, providing practical and contemporary recruitment advice, and helping them make great hiring decisions.

About the Role
As a Recruitment Specialist supporting Nursing, you'll manage a dedicated portfolio and work closely with Nursing Managers, senior nursing leaders and operational teams to understand their recruitment priorities and provide an end-to-end recruitment service.
But this role is about much more than moving a requisition through a system.
You'll use your recruitment expertise to guide, influence and support hiring managers, helping them navigate recruitment confidently while ensuring our processes remain fair, consistent, efficient and aligned with best practice.
You will:
Partner with Nursing Managers and operational leaders across your portfolio
Provide trusted, practical advice on recruitment strategy and best practice
Support managers with attraction, advertising, sourcing and candidate engagement
Guide effective shortlisting, selection and appointment practices
Help managers navigate complex or challenging recruitment situations
Balance high-volume recruitment activity with urgent workforce priorities
Build strong talent pipelines and identify opportunities to improve attraction
Champion a positive candidate and hiring manager experience
Work collaboratively across the recruitment team to share workload, knowledge and solutions
Contribute ideas that continually improve how we recruit at Monash Health
You'll have autonomy and ownership of your portfolio, but you'll never be working in isolation. This a full time role. For the first six months you'll work almost exclusively at a Monash Health site, maximising your opportunity to learn "the way we do things around here". Once you've settled in and demonstrate effective, independent management of your dedicated portfolio, we can offer some flexibility in work locations for part of your work week.
About You
You're an experienced recruiter who enjoys being close to the business and understands that the best way to build partnerships is in person.
You don't simply wait for a manager to tell you what they need — you ask questions, understand the problem they're trying to solve and use your recruitment expertise to help determine the best way forward.
You'll bring:
Strong end-to-end recruitment experience, including facilitating interviews and group assessments
Confidence partnering with managers and senior stakeholders
A genuine commitment to recruitment best practice
Excellent judgement and the confidence to provide considered advice
Strong organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities
A responsive, customer-focused approach without compromising process or quality
The ability to build credibility and trusted relationships quickly
Initiative, curiosity and a continuous-improvement mindset
Resilience and composure in a busy, changing environment
A collaborative approach and genuine willingness to support your teammates
Experience within healthcare, nursing or high-volume recruitment would be highly regarded, but equally important is your ability to understand your business, build trusted partnerships and deliver recruitment services you're proud to put your name to.
