Job Overview
The Sales Manager – Oceania (EP Division) will be responsible for driving business growth for Mersen’s Electrical Power (EP) products across Australia and New Zealand. This role involves developing and managing relationships with key OEMs, end users, and channel partners, with a strong focus on identifying new business opportunities and expanding market share.
This is a hunter-oriented sales role suited for a dynamic professional with previous experience in Power Electronic equipment and Electrical Distribution markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow Mersen’s EP business in Australia and New Zealand.
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with OEMs, EPCs, and major industrial end users.
- Manage and support existing distributor relationships, ensuring strong coverage and market penetration.
- Appoint new Channels to fuel the Distribution growth
- Conduct regular customer visits across Australia and New Zealand to promote Mersen’s solutions and gather market intelligence.
- Work closely with the Managing Director – Oceania and SEA Sales Manager (EP Division) to align regional strategies and report performance.
- Track and report sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities.
- Collaborate with the technical and marketing teams to tailor solutions to customer needs.
- Represent Mersen at trade shows, seminars, and customer events to strengthen brand visibility.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical or related discipline).
- 6–8 years of proven sales experience in the electrical protection field (fuse gear, surge protection or related electrical equipment) markets.
- Strong network with OEMs, EPCs, and distributors in the electrical power sector.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and growing market share.
- Ability to work independently and travel extensively across Australia and New Zealand.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, result-driven approach.
