About the Role
Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) Grade 4 will be responsible for assisting with developing and coordinating multi-disciplinary activities related to the management and prevention of healthcare associated infection across the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital (Eye and Ear) in order to minimize infections in patients and the Eye and Ear workforce.
Key responsibilities include:
- assisting staff to care for patients using effective Infection Prevention and Control standards
- working within multidisciplinary teams.
- assisting with the development of IPAC procedures.
- data collection and dissemination
- providing education and support to staff, patients and carers as required
We are looking for someone who is an experienced nurse who is passionate about IPAC. Education of themselves and others should be a priority as this is a cornerstone of any IPAC program. Willing to work with all craft groups and can communicate effectively.
