Employment Type: Multiple roles available including Temporary (fixed-term) and Ongoing opportunities
Location: Darlinghurst NSW (hybrid). You’ll be office-based at least 5 days per fortnight for full-time roles (pro-rata for part-time), with the remaining days worked flexibly as agreed.

The IRO is an independent statutory body in NSW that helps injured workers and motor accident claimants resolve disputes with insurers and provides legal funding to support claimants through the claims process.

What you'll do
In this role, you will:

Provide paralegal support to assist with the assessment and determination of funding applications submitted by approved lawyers in accordance with the ILARS Funding
- Guidelines, relevant workers compensation legislation and the NSW Grants Administration Guide.
- Support opportunities for the early resolution of matters so injured workers can access their entitlements sooner and better understand their legal rights and obligations.
- Provide case management support to facilitate the efficient assessment of grants and delivery of services.
- Respond to enquiries from stakeholders and service providers, providing accurate information and escalating matters where required.
- Provide legal and administrative support to lawyers and team members to help achieve quality outcomes for injured workers.
- Support project, policy and business improvement initiatives across the team.
Assist in maintaining effective office systems, procedures and records to support efficient service delivery and continuous improvement.
What we're looking for
You will bring:

Experience working in a legal, case management or administrative support environment.

Current and comprehensive knowledge of case management practices and procedures in a legal work environment.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build productive stakeholder relationships.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and high-quality work.

The ability to work collaboratively, identify practical solutions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Salary Grade 5/6, with the base salary for this role starting at $102936 base plus superannuation
