Are you an experienced Social Worker looking to combine your child protection expertise with strategic clinical leadership?
As the Clinical Lead - Pregnancy Family Conferencing (PFC), you will lead a specialised program supporting vulnerable pregnant women, babies and families through early intervention, collaborative planning and coordinated care.
Working within the Violence, Abuse and Neglect (VAN) Service, you'll bring together health, child protection and community partners to strengthen outcomes for children and families while shaping clinical practice across the service.
About the Role
This is an opportunity to influence practice beyond individual cases by leading a program focused on safety, wellbeing and early intervention.
In this role you will:
- Provide clinical and operational leadership for the Pregnancy Family Conferencing program.
- Facilitate collaboration between health services, child protection agencies, Aboriginal organisations and community partners.
- Provide supervision, mentoring and professional support to clinicians.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and contribute to service development and clinical governance.
- Promote culturally responsive, family-centred approaches that support meaningful engagement and shared decision-making.
About You
You are an accomplished Social Worker with significant child protection experience and a passion for improving outcomes for children and families. You bring sound clinical judgement, strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to lead confidently in complex environments.
To be successful, you will have:
- A Degree in Social Work from an accredited course and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), or an AASW Overseas Assessment, where applicable.
- Extensive child protection experience within a health or related setting, including strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and practice frameworks.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in clinical supervision, multidisciplinary practice and service development.
- Proven ability to deliver culturally safe care and build effective partnerships with Aboriginal families, communities and stakeholders.
Highly developed communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
