About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to work as a Cafe Assistant / Barista to operate our on-site cafe. This is your opportunity to delight our residents, guests and staff with a delicious cup of coffee, breaky or lunch working at Nellie Melba Retirement Village in Wheelers Hills. This is a Part Time position working Monday - Friday, 1030-1530.
Work in a café that operates more like a small family business. You will provide excellent food and beverage service, work the till, manage stock, and adhere to food safety standards. Within weeks you'll remember our regular's coffee orders. You'll promote a welcoming atmosphere at the village and fill the café with amazing aromas that will be hard to resist.
About You
To thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have:
- Previous experience as a Barista in a busy cafe environment
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills with the ability to multitask with coffee making, serving customers and food service
- Experience working in a hospitality environment. Minimum food safety certificate required - however we are willing to support the attainment of this
- Exceptional interpersonal skills. Our customers love a chat
- Reliable, professional and proactive nature
