Your new role
You'll play a pivotal role in delivering effective Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) managerial and technical support across Sims facilities throughout the WA region. You will develop, implement, and evaluate risk management programs that ensure a safe and healthy workplace - helping to embed safety as a lived value, not just a compliance requirement.
What you'll be doing

Identifying hazards and assessing risks, including chemical, physical, and process-related hazards

Developing, implementing, and reviewing environmental health and OHS management plans

Monitoring and managing programs to minimise workplace and environmental impacts

Leading root-cause analysis for significant WHS/EHS non-conformances and providing high-level risk ratings to support data-driven decision-making

Act as the primary point of contact for regulators, customers, and vendors regarding inspections and EHS data

Managing worker's compensation claims and return-to-work process
About you
-
Tertiary qualification in Environment, Health & Safety (or equivalent work experience)

2-4 years’ experience advising on safety and health in a high-hazard environment; exposure to environmental compliance is highly regarded

Demonstrated capability in WHS incident investigation and return to work processes

Strong interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills

Current driver's licence and willingness to travel across Western Australia as required
