Chef / Cook – Thai Point
Our Client Thai Point Bli Bli is a well-established and popular Thai restaurant located in the heart of Bli Bli on the Sunshine Coast. We are passionate about delivering authentic Thai cuisine, exceptional customer service, and a memorable dining experience. Due to continued business growth, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef/Cook to join our professional kitchen team on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present authentic Thai dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
- Assist with menu planning and contribute new menu ideas and seasonal specials.
- Prepare ingredients and ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness in accordance with Australian food safety regulations.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation.
- Ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy service periods.
- Minimise food wastage through effective portion control and stock management.
- Supervise and assist junior kitchen staff where required.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and used safely.
- Work collaboratively with management and front-of-house staff to provide excellent customer service.
Skills & ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you should have:
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Diploma of Hospitality Management, or at least three years of relevant full-time experience.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
What We Offer Full-time permanent position.
- Annual salary between $78,000 and $83,000, plus superannuation.
