We are Australia’s leading and fastest-growing corporate valuations team and are currently recruiting for a Director in Melbourne.
What will your typical day look like?
As a Director in our Valuations team, you will lead complex, high-profile engagements and play a pivotal role in shaping client outcomes, developing our people and driving practice growth. You will bring deep technical expertise, strong commercial judgement and a proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
Your work will be varied and impactful, spanning major transactions involving ASX-listed corporates, large-scale or unique business and asset valuations, and complex engagements requiring bespoke modelling, analytics and strategic advice.
You will be exposed to a broad range of clients, including multinationals, high-growth companies, financial institutions, private equity firms and legal advisers.
More specifically, working in a supportive and collegiate team, you will be involved in:
leading complex valuation engagements from scoping through to delivery
providing strategic valuation advice to clients on matters of significant commercial importance
overseeing financial and market research, analysis and benchmarking
determining the appropriateness of valuation methodologies and guiding their application, including discounted cash flow, earnings multiples, excess earnings, comparative sales, replacement cost and capital asset pricing model approaches
overseeing bespoke financial modelling, including scenario, sensitivity and statistical analysis
leading client meetings, presentations and senior stakeholder discussions
reviewing and signing off on valuation reports and other key client deliverables
managing engagement risk, economics and quality, including budgets, timelines and profitability
building and deepening senior client relationships and identifying opportunities for broader client service
driving business development initiatives, including origination of new work through partner collaboration and your own market profile and network
coaching, mentoring and developing team members

Our specialist Valuations team provides valuation opinions and advice in situations of strategic change and commercial importance. We assist clients in managing and reporting on value for a variety of purposes, including mergers and acquisitions, strategy selection, financial reporting, tax and litigation. We value enterprises, shares and intangible assets, such as technology and brands, across all industries.

Our preferred candidate is a valuation specialist, trusted adviser and natural collaborator who can think unconventionally, apply commercial thinking and challenge the status quo in designing solutions to real and technical problems.
You will have all or some of the following skills and experience:
significant experience in business and intangible asset valuation gained in professional services or a similar environment
deep understanding of generally accepted valuation methodologies, including cost, market and income approaches
strong capability in complex valuations, modelling and data analysis
sound commercial awareness, an interest in market conditions and a strong understanding of how value is derived
proven experience leading multiple projects and teams
demonstrated ability to build senior client relationships and contribute to business development activities internally and externally
a proactive approach and an interest in delivering quality outcomes while working in a fast-paced environment
a passion for coaching and mentoring junior team members
