A Bar Attendant (also called a bartender or bar staff member, depending on the workplace) is responsible for serving drinks, providing customer service, and keeping the bar clean and organized.
Bar Attendant Job Description
Typical duties include:
- Greeting customers and taking drink orders.
- Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Checking customers' identification to ensure they meet the legal drinking age.
- Handling cash, card payments, and operating the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Keeping the bar clean, stocked, and organized.
- Washing glasses and bar equipment.
- Monitoring customer behavior and promoting responsible alcohol service.
- Following food safety and hygiene standards.
- Assisting with stock control and inventory when required.
Pay: $4,800.00 – $6,500.00 per month
