Purpose / Objective: Reporting to the Supporter Engagement Coordinator, the Coordinator will support the Asylum Seekers Centre online shop, Shop with Impact, with inventory management, order fulfilment, and customer service.

Commitment Period: Minimum 6 months
Days and hours required per week: 1-2 hours per week (this fluctuates depending on demand). Typically, there are busier periods during Mother’s Day, City2Surf and Christmas (with higher influx of orders). There may be adhoc requests to volunteer selling merch at events. This is not required and subject to the volunteer’s availability.
Location: The main task of fulfilling orders must be done at the Newtown Centre. Customer service management and recording payments in the CRM can be done remotely. Potentially, offsite at events and stalls where required to assist with selling merchandise.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Shop Coordinator will manage the day-to-day running of the online store. Activities include:
- Monitoring Shopify and ensuring online orders are packaged and sent within 3-5 business days (will take a maximum of a few hours, 1-2 days a week at the Centre).
- Corresponding with customers and donors by managing the Shop with Impact email inbox
- Managing stock and packaging inventory
- Recording shop orders from Shopify into our supporter management database, CiviCRM
Selection Criteria
- Previous experience with retail, both physical and online, is highly regarded
- Previous experience with Shopify or online shop systems is preferable
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Previous experience in customer service or administrative role highly regarded.
- Proficiency in Google Drive and tools
- Confident telephone/people manner
- Strong organisational skills
- Experience in working with people from various backgrounds and cultures
- Advanced computer skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers.
- Ability to adhere to policies in relation to code of conduct, boundaries and confidentiality.
