About Adore Beauty
Adore Beauty is Australia’s leading beauty destination. We exist to make beauty accessible, inspiring and joyful. From cult skincare to emerging brands, we curate, educate and obsess over every detail so our customers don’t have to.
We’re building the next era of Adore, omnichannel, data-led, customer-first and beauty obsessed. And we’re looking for an experienced Inventory Supervisor to help us make it happen. Based at our brand-new, AI-powered Distribution Centre in Broadmeadows, you’ll be at the forefront of our investment in smarter technology and the future of beauty fulfilment.
The Opportunity
As our Inventory Supervisor, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our stock moves efficiently, accurately and safely through our Distribution Centre — from dock to stock. You’ll lead the day-to-day operations across Inbound, Returns, Quality Control and Gifting, ensuring inventory is received, processed, put away and available for our customers as quickly and accurately as possible.
You’ll also play a key role in bringing our beauty campaigns to life, working closely with Planning, Marketing and Brand Partners to ensure promotional kit bags, samples and gifts-with-purchase are prepared and ready to go when our campaigns launch. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll balance people, process, systems and performance, while identifying opportunities to continuously improve how we operate.
The team consists of four direct reports across Inbound, Returns, Quality Control (QC) and Gifting. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.
What you’ll be doing
- Overseeing inbound stock: Manage the end-to-end flow of inbound stock, from receipt through to put-away and automation, ensuring stock moves efficiently through the operation.
- Maintaining inventory accuracy: Drive high levels of inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, stock audits, reconciliations and adjustments.
- Managing quality control: Oversee QC holds, quarantine processes and vendor non-conformances to protect inventory integrity and product quality.
- Leading returns: Oversee the returns process, ensuring saleable stock is returned to inventory quickly and damaged stock is appropriately processed.
- Coordinating gifting and kitting: Manage promotional gifting, kit bags and samples, ensuring products are assembled accurately and ready ahead of campaign launches.
- Managing operational priorities: Work closely with Planning, Marketing, Outbound and Brand Partners to manage priorities, resolve issues and keep stock flowing.
- Optimising WMS and automation: Use WMS and automated warehouse systems to manage stock flow, exceptions and operational queues.
- Allocating labour: Plan and allocate labour across inbound, put-away, QC, returns and gifting based on daily volumes and operational priorities.
- Leading daily operations: Run daily team huddles, communicate targets and priorities, and maintain a strong focus on safety and operational standards.
- Coaching and developing the team: Build capability across WMS, scanning, inventory auditing and specialised kitting processes.
- Driving continuous improvement: Identify bottlenecks, process gaps and opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and the overall team experience.
- Supporting operational change: Assist with new WMS configurations, automation changes and the implementation of improved processes.
About You
You’re an experienced warehouse, distribution or inventory professional who enjoys being close to the operation and leading a team to deliver great results.
You’re hands-on, organised and confident making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll ideally bring:
- 3–5 years’ experience in a warehouse, distribution centre or inventory control environment.
- Previous experience supervising or leading a team, ideally across Inbound, Returns, QC or Value-Added Services.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, stock adjustments and QC processes.
- Experience working with WMS and automated warehouse systems.
- Experience managing kitting, light assembly or promotional packaging is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine focus on inventory accuracy and product quality.
- The ability to confidently manage operational exceptions and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across DC Operations, Planning, Marketing and external partners.
- A safety-first mindset and commitment to creating a positive, inclusive and high-performing team environment.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with a natural ability to identify better, smarter and more efficient ways of working.
A qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management or a related discipline would be desirable, however, practical industry experience is equally valued.
Why Join Adore Beauty? This is an exciting time to join Adore Beauty as we continue to evolve our business and build the next era of Australia’s leading beauty destination.
