About the role
As a Mental Health Rehabilitation Clinician within the Northwest Community Mental Health Service, you will deliver high-quality rehabilitation assessments, individually tailored clinical rehabilitation interventions, and care coordination for consumers with complex mental health needs.
Working within a mental health rehabilitation framework, you will provide specialist rehabilitation advice to colleagues and collaborate with the NDIS and Community Managed Organisation sectors to help consumers access appropriate community supports. As a senior clinician, you will also provide professional supervision, leadership, and advocacy for your profession within the service.
Where you'll be working
The New England Northwest (NENW) Mental Health Service is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Rehabilitation Clinician to temporarily join the Northwest Community Mental Health team.
You will be part of a contemporary and innovative service providing mental health rehabilitation and consultation across communities throughout the Northwest district. The service has a strong clinical governance framework to support the delivery of consistent, evidence-based mental health rehabilitation, backed by a passionate multidisciplinary leadership team committed to innovation in ambulatory mental health care.
About you
You are a skilled communicator who builds strong relationships with consumers, their families and carers, and other professionals to support recovery goals, meet individual needs, and promote health and independence.
As a senior member of the multidisciplinary team, you are confident working autonomously while collaborating closely with others to assess and manage consumers using advanced clinical knowledge and expertise.
Requirements:

Must hold a qualification in one of the following: Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Counsellor (Degree in Bachelor of Health Science Mental health, Djirruwang Program), which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association / provisional or general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
For a CNS2: relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years experience working in the clinical area of a post-graduate qualification. -
Eligibility to drive in NSW and interstate and the willingness to travel in the course of employment.

Additional Information:
Based on a minimum 18-month commitment to the position or the agreed duration of your contract. All payments to part-time and contract employees will be made on a pro-rata basis in accordance with the terms of your contract, including any approved extensions.
