About the role
We invite applications from individuals seeking to contribute to a professional and aspirational environment that values success and supports ongoing learning and development. This is a fixed-term, full-time position for a VCE Chemistry Teacher (with VCE Environmental Science considered advantageous) for Semester 1, 2027, covering a period of parental leave. The role will commence in Term 1, 2027.

What you will be doing
- Teaching Years 7-12 Science and Chemistry, delivering high‑quality learning experiences for the duration of the contract
- Facilitating learning programs contributing to activities such as Urban Adventures and partnership‑based experiences
- Participating in co‑curricular activities supporting relevant programs across the School
- Engaging in professional practice taking part in routine professional learning and reflective practice
- Completing administrative duties meeting organisational and supervisory requirements of the role
- Supporting student wellbeing providing pastoral care and building positive relationships
- Undertaking other duties consistent with the responsibilities of the position
What we are looking for
- An experienced educational leader with a strong teaching background
- The ability to teach VCE Chemistry and general Science (Years 7-10), with Environmental Science considered advantageous
- Passionate about contemporary pedagogy and adolescent development
- Strong curriculum design and planning skills
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students, parents, staff and externals stakeholders
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, with the capacity to work across faculties and with external partners
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with excellent attention to detail
