Our teams deliver well known and trusted programs across Western Australia to help body and mind across the lifespan including Street Doctor, ALIVE, headspace, Commonwealth Home Support Program and a variety of other allied health and support services .
Our Street Doctor Services are all about improving the health & wellbeing of homeless, vulnerable, transient, and disadvantaged people in Perth. We currently run numerous mobile clinics each week at multiple locations in the city and throughout the metropolitan area.
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with a high level of compassion, integrity and understanding to work from our Welshpool office and lead the effective operation of our non-traditional models of care within our Street Doctor Service. This person is an experienced leader, great at building teams and a confident communicator who will be responsible for our clinic coordination.
This position is offered on permanent full-time basis. Part time (minimum 4 days per week) can be considered for a suitable candidate.
What are we looking for
- Unrestricted APHRA registration as Registered Nurse
- Experience in a leadership role in general practice or similar environment.
- Experience in management of multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience managing casual staffing rosters with the ability to act quickly and flexibly to changes in availability or resourcing needs.
- Ability to develop excellent working relationships within the team, and with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure open lines of communication and ultimately a seamless, accessible service for our clients.
- Ability to adapt and respond quickly to unexpected challenges in a non-traditional environment.
The successful candidate must be willing to provide a national police certificate dated within 6 months. Out of hours activities will occasionally be required, with the flexibility to adapt their roster accordingly.
