About the Role
The Administrative Assistant (Residences) is a key frontline role within Student Residence, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to current and prospective residents, visitors and stakeholders. As a primary point of contact across UOW's residential communities, you will help create a positive student experience while ensuring efficient administration and compliance with University processes and systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality customer service through face-to-face, telephone and email interactions with residents and stakeholders.
- Manage administrative processes across the student accommodation lifecycle, including arrivals, transfers, departures and resident record management.
- Coordinate maintenance, cleaning, financial processing and other operational activities that support residence services.
Support residence operations, events and guest accommodation bookings to enhance the student experience.

About the Team
Student Residence sits within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education Portfolio and supports students living across UOW's residential communities. The team delivers accommodation services that contribute to a positive and supportive student experience, working closely with students, residence staff and a range of internal and external stakeholders.
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated experience providing friendly, professional and customer-focused administrative support.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to take initiative.
- Proven ability to prioritise competing tasks, maintain accuracy and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
- Confidence learning and using web-based systems and technology platforms.
Relevant experience and/or qualifications in administration and customer service.
