Youth Workers play a vital role in creating safety, stability and connection for young people who are navigating significant challenges. Your presence on shift contributes directly to a young person’s sense of belonging, routine and trust. Every interaction and every moment of consistency helps young people build confidence, develop life skills and move toward healthier and more independent futures. This role matters because you become part of the team that shows young people what safe adults look like.
This position operates on a rotating roster that includes morning, afternoon and sleepover shifts. Morning shifts run from 7.00am to 3.00pm. Afternoon shifts run from 4.00pm to 11.00pm. After the afternoon shift, staff complete a non-active sleepover and then resume duties from 6.30am to 7.30am to complete handover with the incoming morning team.
This structure supports consistent and responsive care for young people and requires applicants who are comfortable working across varied shift types including sleepovers.
How you will make an impact
If you are passionate about supporting young people and contributing to a safe, empowering environment, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your application, including a resume and cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
