Bakehouse Mont Albert, one of the Eastern suburbs’ favourite artisan bakeries, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Front of House person to be the face of our bakery and ensure every customer enjoys a welcoming and exceptional experience.
This is not an entry-level role. We need someone confident on the coffee machine, calm under pressure, and strong enough to lead the floor when required.

About the role
As the Senior FoH, you will take the lead in our front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth service and maintaining our high standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing warm, attentive service to all customers, offering expert advice on our products.
- Preparing and serving consistently high quality coffee and other beverages.
- Overseeing daily front-of-house operations, including opening and closing duties.
- Processing sales transactions and maintaining a well-organised point-of-sale system.
- Managing stock displays and ensuring the bakery always looks inviting.
- Supporting and training junior staff to uphold customer service standards.
- Ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are followed
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a café, bakery, or fast-paced hospitality environment
- Strong barista skills: confident with espresso extraction, milk texturing, and workflow management
- A genuine passion for exceptional customer service and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
