Taiwan Yes Restaurant is a Taiwanese restaurant that offers authentic Taiwanese cuisine. We are currently looking for a cook who is passionate about food from different countries to join our joyful team. We offer a full-time contract of 40 hours per week. You will be working in a friendly and happy team environment. Having your own transportation is preferred. The work schedule is set according to a fixed weekly timetable. Each day includes 2 meals, and employees can purchase drinks and food to take home at an 80% discounted price.
Cook Position Description/Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of ingredients, including Chinese/Taiwanese,,, and local specialty dishes.
- Design and create dishes according to menu requirements.
- Prepare cooking ingredients by chopping, slicing, peeling, grinding, etc
- Ensure food portions and presentation meet the restaurant standards.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, ensuring all kitchenware and equipment are clean and well-maintained.
- Manage inventory of ingredients, ensuring their freshness and quality.
- Ensure all food preparation processes comply with hygiene standards and safety regulations.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proficient in various cooking techniques and the use of cooking equipment.
Good time management and organizational skills, able to work under pressure.
Innovative ability to develop new dishes and improve existing menus.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Education and Experience:
Diploma or certificate from a culinary school or related field.
Relevant work experience is preferred.
At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
Willing to stay long-term (at least 1 year).
Honest, proactive, and passionate about work.
