About Us
Commercial Banking Operations is responsible for the fulfilment, settlement and servicing of Commercial Lending products for the Group. The team support our Business & Private Banking and Institutional Banking colleagues in delivering exceptional service to a wide range of customers including small businesses, franchises and large-scale corporate customers.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Specialist with an interest in Commercial Lending, to join our Lending Maintenance team!
The Role - 12 Month Secondment / Contract Opportunity
As a Customer Service Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting internal stakeholders, including Front-line Bankers and Product Managers with enquiries relating to our Commercial business customers, meeting our operational objectives and deadlines, whilst maintaining strong customer communication.
You will provide support on In-life commercial loan maintenance across Overdrafts, Better Business Loans (BBL) and Market Rate Loans. You will also work across progressive funding, closures and pricing queries (interest and/or fees). This is a highly operational role and team designed to provide lending solutions for our valued clients.
Other responsibilities include:
- Providing superior levels of internal and external customer service by responding to and managing customer and stakeholder enquiries, complaints and issues
- Identifying opportunities to improve the processes within your team or work area
- Undertaking investigations in respect to customer requests and/or as a result of transactional or exception based issues
- Contributing to and/or completing reconciliations
- Completing general administrative duties as required
Practising prudent risk management by identifying and responding to business risks

About you:
You will have strong time management and stakeholder management skills and will be able to articulate complex situations clearly. You will have a drive to learn and apply yourself and will have well-developed attention to detail skills, be solution focussed and able to apply critical thinking to complex situations.
You will also have:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the commercial lending process or any other complex product.
- Strong customer service experience with the ability to build relationships with relevant internal stakeholders
Strong work ethic with a team orientated outlook
