Casual Chef
Catbird is looking for a Casual Chef to join our kitchen team. Two or three shifts a week weekdays or weekends probably mostly breakfast and lunch but if you are a confident chef with evenings available please still apply.
This role suits someone who’s confident working a fast-paced breakfast service, takes pride in good food, and understands the rhythm of a busy café. You’ll be working with a supportive team that values consistency, cleanliness, and calm service.
The Role
- Prepare and cook breakfast and brunch dishes during service
- Maintain quality, speed, and presentation under pressure
- Assist with prep and daily kitchen organization
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team
What We’re Looking For
- Previous café or breakfast service experience
- Ability to work independently during service
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Reliable, organized, and calm under pressure
- Availability for mornings and weekends
