Coxons Group Australia is seeking an experienced HSEQ Coordinator to join our Brisbane Head Office team on an approximately 15-month fixed-term contract, providing maternity leave coverage.
Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, you will support the administration and continuous improvement of our integrated health, safety, environment and quality management systems. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys balancing systems and compliance with practical engagement across operational teams.
The role will involve travel to our branches throughout Australia.

Working closely with the HSEQ Manager and operational leaders across the Group, you will:
- Develop and review HSEQ policies, procedures, training materials and supporting systems
- Facilitate risk assessments in consultation with operational teams and subject matter experts
- Support change management activities relating to processes, systems and equipment
- Maintain document control and the integrity of the integrated management system
- Develop and deliver HSEQ training, alerts and employee communications
- Maintain training records and monitor compliance against training matrices
- Coordinate the internal audit schedule and conduct system and compliance audits
- Support annual certification audits against ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- Report audit outcomes, identify trends and coordinate improvement actions
- Lead incident, non-conformance and opportunity-for-improvement investigations
- Support branches with incident reporting, root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Prepare HSEQ reports and provide practical guidance across the business
You will bring a practical, organised and collaborative approach, along with:
- At least three years’ experience in an HSEQ, safety, quality or similar coordination role
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- A sound understanding of workplace health and safety legislation and regulations
- Experience with audits, risk assessments, investigations and corrective actions
- Strong document development and written communication skills
- The confidence to facilitate training and build productive relationships across different locations and levels of the business
- Strong organisational, prioritisation and time management skills
- The ability and willingness to travel interstate as required
A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is required. Tertiary qualifications in workplace health and safety, quality, environment or business will be highly regarded.
Experience within mining services, heavy industry, engineering or a mechanical environment will also be advantageous.
