About The Role
An outstanding opportunity for an experienced Training and Compliance Specialist to join our team. Ideally this role will be based in Gunnedah or Newcastle, however we may consider other locations.
The Training and Compliance Specialist will be responsible for supporting the cleansing, migration, and testing of training and competencies to enable efficient tracking, completion and reporting of training and assessment activities. This role requires specialist knowledge of learning and compliance management systems, and Training Needs Analysis (TNAs), to support the consistent and compliant delivery of high-quality training and assessment across Whitehaven.
This is a 12 months’ max term contract based in our Newcastle office or at our dedicated Learning Hub, just outside of Gunnedah town centre. This is a full-time role which will require travel to our NSW sites in the Gunnedah area.
What You’ll Do
- Review core and mandatory curricula, map learning against roles and test to ensure efficiency, quality and compliance.
- Assist in the cleansing, migration, and testing of training and assessment artefacts.
- Create and review training materials that align with our regulatory requirements and Whitehaven Standards and procedures.
- Prepare compliance reports and help foster a strong culture of regulatory adherence.
- Support WHC Trainer Assessors and team members to further streamline training and assessment materials and competencies.
- Support loading and configuration of site TNA’s and competencies into LMS.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to support the delivery of the LMS's future state ensuring alignment with organisational and regulatory requirements.
- Drive consistency with site-based training and compliance document management and reporting.
- Generate tailored system reports.
- Facilitate training and compliance audits as requested.
- Provide advice, support and coaching to site personnel as required.
What You'll Bring
- Experience 5+ years in Training and/or Compliance roles within Mining Industry.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
- Proven expertise in LMS, with hands-on experience in system administration and TNA support
- Expertise in records management, continuous improvement strategies, and advanced proficiency in software like Microsoft Excel and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- An evidence-based approach to consistently deliver industry-leading practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with precision and accuracy.
