Position – Chef
Position Details: 38 hours per week, full time permanent position Job duties:
- Menu planning, estimating food and labour expenses, and placing food supply orders
- Oversight of dish quality from preparation to presentation
- Communication with managers, dietitians, kitchen, and serving staff regarding foodpreparation matters
- Demonstration of techniques and guidance on cooking procedures
- Hands-on involvement in food preparation and cooking
- Explanation and enforcement of hygiene regulations
- Potential responsibility for staff selection and training
- Preservation of foods, including freezing if necessary
Skills and Experience Required you will need:
- Must be qualified and competent in all aspects
- Minimum qualifications AQF Associate degree, Advance Diploma or Diploma (ANZCOSkill Level 2)
- Plus 2 years of relevant experience
- A friendly personality and positive attitude, be a team player
- Well-groomed and well presented
- Excellent communication skills including English language skills
- To be in Australia, and must have a valid visa with full work rights
- Prepared for immediate start and to live in Victoria
- To be a reliable person with good references
Remuneration
$75,000 to $85,000 depending on skill level and experience. Remuneration will reflect current market conditions and industry award rates. To be discussed with the successful applicant.
We also offer catering services in Melbourne for
gatherings and events, with a function space large enough to comfortably seat up to
70 people inside the venue and 16 People outdoor dining.
