About the role:
- VPS4 range $100,894 - $114,476 p.a. + super + leave loading
- One (1) fulltime, fixed term: 24 months after commencement
- Working within the Digital Delivery and Transformation Division (DDTD), Continuous Improvement Uplift and Technology (CIUT) located at the Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
The Digital Delivery and Transformation Division (DDTD) within CIUT provides a dedicated program and project management service to lead and manage the delivery of technology and digital solutions that support Victoria Police's strategic objectives and enable its mission to keep members, employees, and the community safe.
The Program and Project Management Office (PPMO) within DDTD supports the delivery of project components, quality assurance on project management functions and maintenance of a Centre of Excellence for project delivery. The PPMO also assists in the mobilisation of new projects, including the initiation and establishment of project team for projects and project delivery support.
The PPMO is seeking the appointment of a VPS4 Project Officer to support the initiation, delivery and transition of the Licensing and Registration Management System (LRMS) project. The Project Officer will report to the PPMO Manager and will support the LRMS Program Director in project assurance, as well as project mobilisation and project delivery. The role will be diverse, requires flexibility and is likely to undertake a wide variety of work across the division.

Your duties will include:
- Provide secretariat services to the nominated Project governance groups including the Project Control Board and the Project Advisory Group.
- Coordinate and contribute to the development of a range of project reporting materials including project status reports, briefing papers, proposals, meeting packs and correspondence.
- Support the tasking and coordination of project activities via team Kanban Board
- Assist the nominated Project Manager in the development and maintenance of project artefacts in accordance with the PPMO Project Standard and Guidelines, engage and communicate changes to the Project Team and Stakeholders.
- Provide financial administration support to the nominate project, including management of invoices and purchase orders.
- Assist the nominated Project Manager and PPMO Manager with project mobilisation activities including the recruitment and induction of project resources.
- Coordinate regular project assurance reviews to monitor compliance with standards and guidelines.
- Provide project administration support across the nominated Project.
- Other duties as directed by nominated Project or PPMO Manager. Manage onboarding and offboarding of project resources.
About You:
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- Proven project management support experience and capability including the ability to complete assigned tasks within tight timeframes.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and complete tasks to meet deadlines under limited supervision.
- Ability to effectively and flexibly operate in a dynamic and fast paced project environment.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills including the ability to write high quality written materials and brief team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to monitor stakeholder satisfaction and manage stakeholder issues to ensure positive outcomes for the stakeholder and project team.
- Ability to understand and apply relevant legislation, policies, public sector issues and procedures in a complex environment.
- Proven ability to use initiative to influence others to drive positive change in the work area. A relevant tertiary education would be desirable, but not essential.
Requirements and relevant information:
- One (1) x full-time, fixed-term position available for 24 months.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
