The opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Maintenance Planner to join our Maintenance team at our Duketon operation. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing effective planning and scheduling for maintenance activities across the process plant, ensuring maintenance resources are optimised to support safe, reliable and efficient operations.
This is a key role within the Maintenance team, leading maintenance planning meetings, coordinating shutdowns and major plant outages, and driving continuous improvement in planning standards, work management processes and maintenance performance.
This is a FIFO role (8:6 roster) from Perth.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
Leading maintenance planning meetings and managing end-to-end planning and scheduling activities for the processing plant
Coordinating preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance activities in line with operational requirements
Managing planning and scheduling for major plant outages (MPOs), including detailed Gantt schedules, work packs and post-shutdown reviews
Coordinating maintenance activities involving large shutdown workforces of 150+ personnel
Maintaining accurate CMMS data to support reliability analysis, maintenance performance and cost reporting
Monitoring planning performance, identifying risks and implementing improvement initiatives
Collaborating with Operations, Reliability, Engineering and Maintenance teams to improve maintenance strategies and planning effectiveness
Providing shutdown and maintenance performance reports to site leadership teams
Supporting operational budgeting, productivity improvements and continuous improvement initiatives within the Maintenance department
- Ensuring maintenance activities are planned and executed in accordance with safety, quality and operational requirements
Skills and Experiences:
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have:
Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within a fixed plant, processing or heavy industrial environment
Strong experience planning plant shutdowns, maintenance campaigns and service days
Relevant Mechanical Trade qualification or Mechanical Engineering qualification, highly regarded
Experience using maintenance management systems such as Pronto or similar CMMS platforms
Advanced skills in Microsoft Project, Excel and Word
Strong technical understanding of fixed plant equipment, including crushers, mills, compressors, gearboxes and associated processing infrastructure
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of planning accuracy and execution
Strong project coordination skills with an understanding of cost, risk, quality, schedule and governance requirements
