THE OPPORTUNITY: DISTRIBUTION LINEWORKER AND LEVEL 2 ELECTRICIANS
We're building a high‑performing Distribution and Electrical team for the Newcastle Region — and we're looking for skilled, safety‑driven Lineworkers and level 2 Electrical Workers who want stable work, major‑project experience, and the chance to contribute to critical national infrastructure. In this role, you will:
- Construct and maintain high‑voltage Distribution on the Ausgrid network
- Work to Genus and client standards, procedures, and safety protocols
- Support both overhead and underground teams in the ASP market
- Participate in hazard identification, incident reporting, and safe‑work practices
- Support both routine and emergency response activities
- Contribute to a strong, positive, safety‑first team culture
This is hands‑on, meaningful work that keeps the lights on for millions of Australians.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
We're seeking experienced Distribution and Transmission Lineworkers with:
- UET30621 Certificate III in ESI - Distribution Overhead or Electrical
- Level 2 Electricians have the opportunity to upskill to a distribution overhead trade
- High Risk Work Licence (WP)
- MR licence (HR preferred or willingness to upgrade)
- Proven experience on transmission networks
- Strong teamwork, communication, and safety focus
- Good understanding of PSSR / CPR-LVR
- You must live local to the Newcastle area or willing to relocate
PRE‑EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: Successful applicants will complete:
- Full pre‑employment medical
- Drug & alcohol screening
- National police clearance
