About the role
As a Workplace Health and Safety Officer, you'll be part of a dedicated team committed to maintaining a safe, compliant, and supportive environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
Working within the People, Culture and Planning portfolio, you'll contribute to the delivery of safety programs, early injury management, and return-to-work initiatives, while supporting a strong culture of continuous improvement and clinical governance.
Coordinate and deliver workplace health and safety programs, training, and initiatives aligned with organisational and state-wide strategies
Investigate incidents, analyse trends, and provide clear reporting and advice to support improved safety outcomes
Support facilities and staff with practical health and safety guidance, including rehabilitation and return-to-work processes

Requirements
C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
Mandatory certification as a Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator is required.
Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
A period of probation may apply.
