We are currently seeking reliable Casual Trade Assistants to support our busy fabrication and workshop operations. This is a great opportunity for people wanting flexible work or hands-on workshop experience.
About the role
As a Trade Assistant, you will work alongside experienced tradespeople assisting with the manufacturing of fencing infrastructure. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys physical work and being part of a team.
Your duties will include:
- Assist operation of chainmesh machines and workshop equipment
- Assisting fabricators and welders
- Cutting, grinding and preparing steel
- Loading and unloading materials and deliveries
- Operating basic workshop tools and machinery
- Preparing jobs for site crews
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop
- General labouring and yard duties
About you
You will ideally have:
- Experience in a workshop, fabrication or construction environment
- A current Driver’s Licence
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to perform physical work safely
- A reliable and team-focused attitude
Forklift, EWP, or construction tickets will be highly regarded but not essential.
