About the role
To provide efficient pharmacy services that are aligned to organisational goals and legislative standards.
To contribute to patient care by undertaking advanced clinical support tasks across all Community and Oral Health sites and other facilities throughout Metro North Hospital & Health Service (MNHHS) under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
This position also supports inventory management at other affiliated locations within Community and Oral Health.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Co-ordinate purchasing and distribution of pharmaceuticals in accordance with Queensland Health policy. Including sourcing alternate stock suppliers during critical stock shortages.
Manage stock shortages and the supply chain to maintain pharmacy services.
High level communication and coordination between internal and external sources to facilitate inventory management across facilities.
Undertake ongoing review of work practices, services and procedures and provide leadership in planning, initiating and evaluating inventory management service improvements.
Provide education to patients on the use of a defined range of medications, medication aids and devices under the guidance of a pharmacist.
