Overcomers Support Services is looking for a reliable, engaging and motivated Support Worker to support a participant working toward greater independence, community engagement and future employment opportunities.
About the Role
We are seeking someone who is:
- Friendly, conversational and easy to connect with
- Motivated to build positive rapport and meaningful engagement
- Interested in construction, trade environments or hands-on work
- Passionate about helping participants build confidence and pathways into employment
- Able to encourage routine, independence and community participation
The ideal worker will support the participant with:
- Daily living and community access
- Building social confidence and communication skills
- Exploring construction-related interests and vocational opportunities
- Attending appointments, activities and work-related supports
- Encouraging consistency, motivation and goal achievement
Hours
- Weekdays: 4 hours daily
- Weekends: 3 hours daily
Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Blue Card / Working With Children Check
- Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
- First Aid & CPR
- Experience in disability support preferred
- Interest or background in construction/trade work highly regarded
Location- Gold Coast region
