Warehouse & Site Trades Assistant – Mechanical Experience
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Warehouse & Site Trades Assistant with previous experience working in a mechanical trade, manufacturing or similar hands-on environment.
The role is varied and will involve working both in our manufacturing warehouse and out on site assisting with installations and general trade work.
The ideal candidate will be confident using machinery, hand tools and power tools, have a good mechanical understanding, and be comfortable assisting tradespeople with practical, physical work.
Key duties include:
- Assisting with manufacturing, assembly and general workshop duties
- Operating and assisting with workshop machinery
- Using hand and power tools safely
- Preparing tools, equipment and materials for jobs
- Assisting tradespeople with onsite installation work
- Measuring, positioning and handling materials
- Loading and unloading materials using a forklift
- Preparing stock and materials for upcoming jobs
- Site preparation and clean-up
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience working in a mechanical trade, manufacturing, fabrication or similar environment
- Confident using machinery, hand tools and power tools
- Good mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
- Current Forklift Licence
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
- Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
- Able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
- Comfortable working both in the warehouse and travelling to customer sites
Mechanical trade experience is highly regarded.
Pay: $28.64 – $44.90 per hour
