About this opportunity:
Working alongside the Digital Media Advisor, you'll play a key role in managing Council's website, social media channels and digital communications. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, can adapt to changing priorities and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will:
- Create, schedule and manage engaging content across Council's social media platforms.
- Manage and update content across Council's corporate website.
- Monitor social media and website performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Respond to community enquiries and interactions across digital channels.
- Support digital campaigns, eNewsletters and online engagement initiatives.
- Assist with livestreaming, filming and digital content production activities.
- Work across multiple projects and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Contribute ideas that enhance Council's digital presence and community engagement.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
We're looking for someone who:
- Has 1-3 years' experience in digital media, communications, marketing or a similar role.
- Is confident working across websites, social media platforms and digital tools.
- Is highly organised with excellent time management skills.
- Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in producing quality work.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Can manage competing priorities and switch between tasks as required.
- Enjoys collaborating with others and building positive working relationships.
- Takes initiative and is keen to learn and grow their digital communications skills.
Highly Regarded
- Qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism or a related discipline.
- Experience creating video or photographic content.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience using website analytics or social media reporting tools.
