A background in STEM is an advantage but not essential. A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and strong problem-solving skills are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging STEM lessons in schools
- Prepare for classes in advance
- Assist with rostering (e.g. shift changes)
- Manage logistics (ensuring correct equipment is packed and ready)
- Set up and pack down equipment
Work Environment
- Primary schools (Reception to Year 6)
- After-school classes: Monday to Friday, 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm (term time)
- Incursion classes: During school hours (as available)
- School holiday programs: Based on availability
All training, uniforms, lesson plans and specially designed LEGO® kits are provided.
Requirements
- Passion for working with children
- Confident public speaking skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Customer service experience (preferred)
- Working With Children Check, RRHAN, and First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Ability to perform light manual tasks (e.g. carrying LEGO® kits, setting up/packing down)
- Completed Year 12
Preferred (but not essential):
- Study or qualifications in Science, Engineering, ICT, Education, or Early Childhood
- Experience in teaching or working with children

Pay: $33.50 – $40.00 per hour
