Heyder & Shears is dedicated to delivering exceptional events and catering services throughout Perth, Western Australia. With over 30 years of industry experience, we are one of Perth's most respected and exclusive caterers, renowned for delivering premium service and unforgettable experiences.
As we prepare for a busy event season, we are seeking experienced hospitality staff to join our team. We are particularly interested in candidates who can confidently lead events, manage service teams and act as the face of the business when dealing with clients and venues.
We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience in:
- Corporate events, conferences and boardroom functions
- Weddings, cocktail events, gala dinners and large-scale functions
- Bar management, venue supervision or restaurant management roles
- Independently running shifts, events or service operations with minimal supervision

We are currently seeking candidates from two key backgrounds:
Corporate & Boardroom Events
- Experience managing corporate events, conferences, boardroom lunches and VIP functions
- Strong client relationship and communication skills
- Professional presentation and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver seamless service
Large-Scale Events & Weddings
- Experience leading weddings, cocktail functions, gala dinners and large-scale events
- Confident managing large service teams and event logistics
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and lead events from start to finish
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading event operations and service teams
- Acting as the key contact for clients during events
- Delivering exceptional customer service and event experiences
- Managing event set up, service delivery and pack down
- Working across corporate events, boardroom lunches, weddings, cocktail functions and private events
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Ensuring compliance with company and venue requirements
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in hospitality, events or function management
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Professional presentation and a positive attitude
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
- Current Approved Manager certification
