The Role
We are seeking a strategic and improvement-focused leader to drive operational uplift and statewide consistency across St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland Housing (Vinnies Housing).
This is an exciting time to join the Society as Vinnies Housing continues a broader journey of transformation and operational maturity across the state. This role will play a key part in shaping how services are enabled and supported behind the scenes, helping build stronger systems, more consistent practices, and scalable operational frameworks that support high-quality service delivery.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys improving how organisations operate at scale. You will lead initiatives that strengthen systems, streamline processes, uplift operational capability across the state. In doing so, you will also ensure robust governance, compliance with regulatory and funding requirements, and strong risk management practices that underpin high-quality service delivery.
Working closely with leaders and internal stakeholders, you will influence how services are enabled behind the scenes by driving operational maturity, improving performance frameworks, embedding best-practice processes, and supporting statewide consistency across operations.
This is a Permanent, Full-Time position (38 hours per week), based in South Brisbane.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve internal systems, processes, and operational frameworks to support service delivery
- Lead service enablement initiatives to drive consistent and high-quality service outcomes
- Oversee compliance, risk, audit, and regulatory requirements as part of operational governance
- Monitor and report on performance metrics to support continuous improvement and informed decision-making
- Strengthen data integrity, reporting accuracy, and operational controls
- Lead, support, and develop a high-performing team
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
About You
To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:
- Relevant qualifications and/or 5+ years’ experience in audit, risk, compliance, governance, finance, or operational assurance
- Experience within community housing, social services, public sector, or similar regulated environments
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, funding requirements, and operational compliance
- Proven ability to improve systems, processes, and organisational performance
- Demonstrated experience working with data, reporting, and operational metrics
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence, engage, and drive change
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Project management capability with experience delivering initiatives end-to-end
