Our busy bakery and pastry kitchen in Oakleigh operates 7 days a week from 5.45am – 4pm and we are looking for hard working, positive people to join our team!
On the job training will be provided, however we are searching for staff who have experience in pastry, bakery and food handling procedures.
After a qualifying period, full time or permanent part-time options will be offered to the right candidate/s.
· Collaborate with the team to meet high-volume demands without compromising quality.
· Work in all areas of the kitchen from producing, finishing and storage of baked products.
· Always maintain the cleanliness of machinery and general work area.
· General kitchen duties as directed.
· Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards and be able to follow guidelines & safe work practices.
· Be honest, reliable and punctual with a good work ethic is essential for this position.
· Be able to follow instructions.
· Be adaptable for flexible working hours across the week, flexible start times is also an option.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparing and baking bread loaves, rolls and specialty bread products.
- Measuring and mixing ingredients according to recipes.
- Kneading, shaping and proofing dough.
- Monitoring oven temperatures and baking times.
- Ensuring consistency and quality of bakery products.
- Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.
- Operating and maintaining bakery equipment.
- Managing stock levels and ordering ingredients when required.
Skills and Experience:
- Certificate III in Baking or equivalent qualification.
- At least one year of relevant work experience as a Baker.
- Knowledge of bakery production processes and food safety requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
