About the Role:
We are seeking Allied Health Assistants who are willing to learn new skills to support roles within the Occupational Therapy department.
These positions are suitable for Allied Health Assistant Level 2, under the Allied Health Assistant Level 2/3 Broadband Enterprise Agreement.
Acute Occupational Therapy services are provided to a diverse range of clients within the acute inpatient setting, as well as through specialised outpatient services at Canberra Hospital and the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children.
As an Allied Health Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting therapists and contributing to service delivery under direction within a delegated caseload. In this role, you will assist in meeting the caseload requirements of the broader Occupational Therapy team. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment and therapy resources, delivering delegated upper limb therapy, supporting activities of daily living retraining programs, and contributing to cognitive and visual retraining programs, as well as assisting with home access visits.
Within our team, you will be supported by an experienced group of clinicians and will receive direct clinical supervision from an Occupational Therapist.
