About us:
This role works primarily with research, clinical trials and study participants within the Intensive Care Unit at the Cairns Hospital.
This role has an operational reporting line to the Nurse Unit Manager of Intensive Care Unit. Director of the Clinical Research Unit provides professional oversight and support to the role to ensure Clinical Trial and Research complies with the relevant internal or external policies and legislation.

About your opportunity:
In this position you will....
Undertake and participate in participant screening, recruitment, enrolment, randomisation, follow-up and supervision in association with the Principal Investigator and other study personnel according to protocol-specific criteria.
Practice in accordance with the principles of the Good Clinical Practice standard, and within state and national privacy laws and other relevant guidelines.
Contribute to publishing peer reviewed journals and presenting research/clinical trial outcomes.
Maintain relevant databases, clinical trial and research documentation according to ethical guidelines to ensure preservation of patient confidentiality.
