The hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics. Our Administration and Day of Surgical Admissions Centre (DOSAC) Team is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work alongside our team providing support to the hospital’s DOSAC Unit.
As an Administration Officer, your responsibilities will be to perform a broad range of administration duties including:
o Provide Administration support and reception duties with our DOSAC and Theatre Complex Unit
o Manage a busy reception desk, answer and redirect telephone calls
o Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records
o Ensure that patients’ records are updated, as required, including entering MBS Item Numbers
o Coordinate with staff from other departments
o Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry
Selection Criteria:
Selection Criteria must be addressed in cover letter to be considered.
- Well-developed strong communication and interpersonal skills with advanced problem solving and decision-making abilities to ensure excellence in customer service
- Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- The ability to work both independently and within a team
- Must have the availability to work permanent part-time shift between Monday to Friday from 1230-2000
- Previous experience in a hospital or medical environment is highly desirable
