ANQ – An Nam Quan brings the flavours of Saigon to Adelaide. We're a family-rooted Vietnamese restaurant serving authentic dishes made with fresh ingredients and recipes passed down through generations — pho, banh mi, noodle salads, rice bowls, and fresh spring rolls, in a warm space where our motto is simple: come in, sit down, and let us feed you.
We're looking for a Junior Front of House team member to help us deliver that same warmth to every guest who walks through our doors.
The Role
As a Junior Front of House team member, you'll be the first and last impression of the ANQ dining experience — greeting guests, taking orders, running food and drinks, and keeping the floor moving smoothly during busy service. This is an entry-level, hospitality-industry-award role, ideal for someone early in their front-of-house career who's keen to learn and grow with us.
Employment type: Casual / Part-time Location: Hawthorn or Marryatville (shifts across both venues may be available) Hours: Includes evenings and weekends across our 7-day trading week
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and seat guests, and manage table turnover during busy periods
- Take food and drink orders accurately, using our point-of-sale system
- Deliver food and beverages promptly, checking in on tables throughout the meal
- Set up and reset tables, keep the dining area clean, tidy, and well presented
- Handle takeaway and delivery orders alongside dine-in service
- Process payments and handle the till accurately
- Answer phone enquiries and take bookings
- Work as part of a team with kitchen and other front-of-house staff to keep service running smoothly
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and responsible service standards at all times
About You
- Friendly, approachable, and genuinely enjoys working with people
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and good timekeeping
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and staying calm under pressure
- A team player who's happy to pitch in wherever needed
- Available to work evenings and weekends
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience is a plus, but not essential — we'll train the right person
