Join our team as a Network Support Analyst and play a key role in maintaining network performance and availability while delivering exceptional customer service.
In this role, you’ll provide wide-ranging administrative and technical support across daily network management, including site and network administration and participation in an after-hours on-call register.
You’ll work within IT Service Management (ITSM) practices, consulting and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure advice is accurate, accountable, and delivered with confidence.

What you’ll do
- Monitor and report on infrastructure performance to support service delivery
- Identify, categorise, and assess impacts of network events using surveillance tools and user-reported information
- Run standard tests and contribute to fault and problem investigations
- Provide tiered technical support by troubleshooting issues and determining the most appropriate solutions to improve network performance
- Maintain high-quality service through report updates, follow-up actions, and escalation of complex incidents within agreed service levels
- Stay current with changing ICT and industry standards to ensure compliance in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with tight deadlines
- Build strong stakeholder relationships through professional communication, negotiation, and sensitive issue management
- Apply strong analytical problem-solving to resolve logged incidents and enquiries effectively
About you
- Experience in supporting data and voice network services and infrastructure in a complex environment.
- Familiarity with ITIL process.
- Knowledge of and experience in network operations.
- Strong investigative and analytical skills to resolve logged incidents and enquiries efficiently and accurately.
- Ability to run standard tests and contribute to deeper fault/problem investigations.
- Proven ability to consult, negotiate, and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders while maintaining accountability for the quality and integrity of advice.
- Ability to maintain accurate reporting, update documentation, and initiate follow-up actions to ensure issues are resolved end-to-end.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

- Participation in an after-hours on call roster as required.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
