About this position
Are you looking to build your career in civil construction and drainage?
The Drainer / General Hand works as part of the Infrastructure Engineering Construction team and assists with the construction of municipal civil projects.
In this hands-on role, you will construct and modify stormwater drainage infrastructure —including pipes, pits, and side entries — following detailed plans and policies. You will also operate plant, equipment and vehicles used in civil construction activities while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
What we are looking for
To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:

Relevant experience in a similar civil construction or drainage role

Experience constructing, altering or maintaining stormwater drainage infrastructure, including pipes, pits and side entries

Ability to interpret construction plans, undertake accurate measurements and maintain quality standards

Proven ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively
-
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
-
Commitment to safe work practices and Workplace Health and Safety requirements

Positive attitude and strong work ethic
