- Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions.
- In-depth client consultations to discuss the details surrounding the problemed areas.
- Walk through several movements to assess the extent of the injuries, joint mobility, muscle tension etc.
- Implement specific treatment techniques based on the outcome of the assessment.
- Sterilise equipment and launder towels.
- Provide clients with a treatment plan outlining lifestyle changes they can implement exercise etc.
- Perform remedial massage, deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, Tuina, trigger point therapy and other various massage techniques.
- Comply with all applicable standards, rules and regulations.
- Take bookings and manage cancellations.
What skills do you need to become a Remedial Massage Therapist
- Diploma level qualification or suitable equivalent in remedial massage
- Previous work experience as a massage therapist
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable with performing massages on diverse clients.
