Alongside their tutoring, we provide our team with opportunities that draw on their strengths and where they are heading in their career. Examples current team members have been involved in include designing and making an online course, delivery of workshops, marketing, social media, HR and tech support. Don't be intimidated by this, it's completely optional and only if this feels exciting to you! Otherwise, just being great at your tutoring is all you need to do.
We require facilitators at our centres in Ringwood and Bundoora, meaning you arrive at work and then work with your students either online or in person from our workspace. There is no scheduling required as we do all of that for you. It is important to note that you will be required to attend one of our locations for your tutoring sessions, all located close to public transport. We also run workshops throughout the year, which is an optional opportunity for you to be paid to join the team facilitating the workshops.
Our Approach to Education:
Our approach to education and the extent of student development differs from the mainstream approach to education. As such, initial and ongoing training and coaching is provided to ensure our high level of delivery. The positions will suit (but are not limited to) those who did well in VCE in any subjects of your choice or university students studying teaching, retired or practicing teachers, teachers on leave or taking a break from the classroom or experienced tutors looking for the next step. Pay rate is generous and dependent on experience.
Key Skills Required:
Reliability is integral in this role as our students depend on us for support during this pivotal stage of their education. Ideally candidates will have completed Year 11 and 12 in Victoria, (meaning they have completed the VCE) as this will ensure a close knowledge of the curriculum they will be delivering.
