Every fridge tells a story. This one is ours – and it's getting bigger.
Chobani Australia was formed in 2011 following the acquisition of Gippsland Dairy, alongside the Chobani brand. Guided by our belief that food can be a force for good – and our purpose, Good Food For All – we make Chobani and Gippsland Dairy yoghurt in Dandenong South, focusing on food that's delicious, nutritious, natural and accessible.
We're building the next chapter of growth – investing in major site upgrades and new capability to meet demand and deliver on our aspiration: in every fridge, everywhere, every day.
Chobani is a place for people who like pace and ownership. We keep standards high, back people to stretch, and hire for attitude. If you set goals, deliver, learn fast and keep raising the bar, you'll feel right at home here.
The Opportunity
Behind every strong customer relationship is a finance team that keeps things moving.
As our Accounts Receivable Officer, you'll play an important role in ensuring customer accounts are accurate, payments are allocated correctly and issues are resolved quickly. Reporting to the Accounts Payable & Receivable Manager, you'll become a key point of contact for both internal stakeholders and customers, helping maintain the high service standards we're known for.
This is a six-month fixed term contract covering parental leave and offers the opportunity to join a growing business during an exciting period of change and expansion. You'll gain exposure to major national retailers, complex customer accounts and a broad range of accounts receivable activities, all within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
In this role you'll:
- Manage customer payments, remittances and account reconciliations
- Process customer claims, deductions and promotional accruals
- Investigate invoice, pricing and payment discrepancies
- Monitor overdue accounts and support collections activities
- Complete month-end reporting, accruals and reconciliations
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Service and Finance teams to resolve customer issues
For someone who enjoys solving problems, working with stakeholders and taking ownership of their work, this is an opportunity to build valuable experience within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Your Experience
We're looking for someone who takes pride in getting the details right.
You'll be naturally organised, comfortable managing competing priorities and confident investigating issues to find the root cause. You enjoy working with people, building relationships and balancing accuracy with urgency when deadlines matter.
This role operates in a high-volume FMCG environment supporting major national retailers, export customers and a growing customer base. You'll be managing customer claims, promotional deductions, payment allocations, reconciliations and month-end activities while navigating multiple customer portals, systems and stakeholder requirements. The complexity comes less from processing transactions and more from understanding what's driving them, investigating discrepancies and working across teams to resolve issues.
You'll thrive in this role if you:
- Enjoy problem solving and investigating discrepancies
- Have strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Can manage a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy
- Take ownership and look for ways to improve processes and outcomes
Experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable or a similar finance environment will set you up well for success. Exposure to FMCG, manufacturing, distribution or consumer goods businesses will be highly regarded, particularly if you’ve managed customer claims and deductions, performed account reconciliations and month-end activities, or worked within a fast-paced, high-volume transactional environment.
