Are you physically fit, safety-focused, and looking for a hands-on role with long-term career potential? We are seeking Labourers to join a specialist industrial services team working within a Defence environment at Garden Island Naval Base.
The Role
You will be responsible for industrial cleaning, vacuum loading, and waste removal activities aboard Navy vessels and within confined industrial spaces. This is a physically demanding role requiring a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
Key Duties
- Industrial cleaning of tanks, engine rooms, vessel compartments, and plant areas
- Operate high-pressure water cleaning equipment
- Assist with vacuum loading and waste removal operations
- Work safely in confined spaces and permit-controlled environments
- Follow strict safety, isolation, and site procedures
Essential Requirements
- White Card
- National Police Check (or ability to obtain one)
- Physically fit and capable of manual labour
- Comfortable working in confined spaces
- Strong safety focus and reliable work ethic

- Confined Space Entry Ticket
- Working at Heights Ticket
- Gas Test Atmospheres
- Permit Work Certifications
- Industrial cleaning, construction, labouring, or waste management experience
