About the role
Adam’s Eden Garden Centre is seeking an experienced Landscape Gardener to join our growing landscaping team in Townsville.
You will be involved in a variety of residential and commercial landscaping projects throughout Townsville and surrounding areas.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone with strong practical landscaping experience who is confident working independently, takes pride in completing work to a high standard, and is looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with a growing local business.
The successful applicant will work across a range of landscape installation, garden improvement and general landscaping projects.
Key responsibilities
- Landscape construction and garden installation
- Site preparation and garden bed preparation
- Soil improvement and soil preparation
- Planting trees, shrubs and other landscape plants
- Installation and maintenance of irrigation systems
- Paving, edging and general landscaping works
- Turf preparation and installation
- Mulching and garden finishing works
- Installation of pots, garden features and landscape materials
- Removal and replacement of plants where required
- General garden restoration and improvement works
- Use of landscaping tools and equipment
- Reading landscape plans and following project specifications
- Working independently and as part of a landscaping team
- Maintaining a clean and safe worksite
- Completing landscaping works to a high standard
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, applicants should have:
- At least 5 years of relevant practical landscaping or landscape gardening experience
- Demonstrated practical experience in landscape construction and garden installation
- Good knowledge of site preparation, soil preparation and planting techniques
- Practical experience with irrigation installation and maintenance
- Experience with paving, edging, turf installation and general landscaping works
- Ability to read landscape plans and follow project specifications
- Ability to work independently and complete jobs responsibly
- Good practical problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable and punctual work habits
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor work
- Ability to safely use landscaping tools and equipment
- A current Australian driver’s licence
Relevant qualifications in Landscape Construction, Horticulture, Parks and Gardens or a related field will be highly regarded.

In addition to our established garden centre, we provide landscaping services for residential and commercial clients throughout Townsville and surrounding areas.
Our landscaping division is continuing to grow, and we are looking for an experienced team member who can contribute practical skills, reliability and high-quality workmanship to our projects.
