- Assist qualified carpenters and tradespeople with daily site tasks.
- Learn and carry out basic carpentry duties under supervision.
- Assist with framing, fix-outs, cladding, renovations, repairs and general residential building work.
- Help prepare, clean and maintain work areas, tools and materials.
- Follow instructions from supervisors, tradespeople and site managers.
- Work safely and follow all workplace health and safety requirements.
- Support the team with loading, unloading and organising materials.
- Attend TAFE and complete apprenticeship training requirements.
- Develop practical skills and knowledge in residential construction.

Required Skills
-A Willingness to develop skills and knowledge in this trade.
-Be responsible, reliable and have a can do attitude.
-The ability to work in a fast paced team with other Carpenters, Labourers and Apprentices.
-Physical Fitness and the ability to undertake manual labour for extended periods.
-Be able to adhere to Workplace Health and Safety procedures and adhere to Safe Work Practices.
-A White Card – or be willing to obtain prior to commencement.
-Enjoy practical and manual work.
-Be able to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
-Have a current drivers license and own suitable vehicle or be willing to obtain prior to commencement.
-Be willing to obtain the required tools over the course of your apprenticeship – tool list and requirements will be discussed prior to commencement.
Preferred Skills
Previous experience or exposure to building, construction, carpentry or hands-on trade work is highly regarded.
Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
